[RECIPE] Banano Ice Cream

Flamboyant Uncle Pillows "I Dream of Cream" Ultra Healthy Banano Ice Cream


This ice cream is made in two stages. The Base + whatever suits your fancy. I'm going to give you my favourites but let your mind run free, don't hold back & submit to your deepest dessert desires. Because Ice Cream is literally life.

 

The Base


- Peel and chop up fully all of your overly ripe Bananas into 1/2" (12mm) chunks and freeze in a sealed Ziploc bag or container. Caution - Green or all yellow Bananas will give very little taste and be less creamy. A lightly browned Banana is perfect.


- Put 2-3 Bananas worth of frozen chunks into a good blender or food processor with a pinch of salt and 3-4 tbsp of Coconut Cream. Soy, Oat, Coconut or Almond Milk could also be used depending on your taste.


- Blend until soft-serve consistency throughout.

-You can eat right away or put in freezer for 30 minutes to stiffen up.

 

Added Flavour Options


4/20 Delight: Base + 2 tbsp coconut butter + crumbled oreo cookies sprinkled on top


Tongue Smacker: Base + 3 tbsp Peanut Butter. (Smooth Jif is my favourite)


Arctic Monkey: Base + >1/8 tsp pure peppermint extract. Stir in Chocolate Chips after blend.


Rupert Holmes: Base + 1/2 cup frozen pineapple (add Rum if weekend)


HngBerry: Base + 1/2 cup any frozen Berry(s) + 1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract


ChocoMonkey: Base + 3 tbsp cocoa powder + 1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract



ProTip: When you open a can of Coconut Cream you can use the thick white stuff on top for high fat content or the thin clear liquid on the bottom for higher coconut flavor or mix together to get the best of both worlds.
