Thanks to the last Freerice event and all the amazing CryptomonKey work going on right now, Banano NFTs are hotter than ever. We wanted to double down on that this time, so we're bringing you more NFTs than ever. You've already seen Aalee's amazing work with the Freerice collection, plus SoggyApplePie and the crew with CryptomonKeys, but Banano has a huge community of wonderful artists!
If you're active on Discord, you've probably seen some of Fried's works before (see some examples below). His animated Tuit collections are always a hyped release, with Block Party, Dungeons & Banano, and other community-themed NFTs. Fried agreed to create a rice-themed Tuit for this event as a reward for contributors!
Aalee has also created another Freerice NFT for the event, and this one is extra special for the time of year! Take a look at his last work below.
For good measure, the cryptomonKeys team has given us 10 uncommons and monKeypacks for the event as well!
We mentioned that things were going to be a little different for this event. Everyone who signs up and plays Freerice during the event will be eligible for Freerice NFTs and cryptomonKeys. To be eligible for the Grand Prizes (38 total of Fried and Aalee's new event NFTs and 5 monKeypacks), there is a minimum donation of 19 BAN or 0.69 WAX required.
Banano stays in our event wallet to boost the next charity/player payout for Freerice, and WAX will be split between Fried and Aalee so they can continue to offer their amazing work to the community. (More info and links at the bottom of the article.) If you're a CryptomonKey miner on Alien Worlds, feel free to send Trillium in place of WAX!
If this is your first time hearing about these events, Freerice is a simple site run by the World Food Programme (a UN-run charity) that purchases rice from ad revenue earned from you playing trivia on their site. As a community, Banano has raised over 60 million grains of rice (or 3000 days of food) for those in need, as well as donated to some other amazing charities! We've also donated over 60,000 Banano to participants for past events. For details of our last event, read this article.

The top ten rice earners this event will earn uncommons. Anyone who plays will be eligible for the monKeypacks and other prizes!

- #1 and #19 mints will go to the top four eligible rice earners. The remaining 34 will be distributed to ranks 5-38.

How to Join the Event
Make an account at Freerice.com
Once logged in, join our Banano group by clicking here or entering the group code: A7G4VWT7. If the group link does not work, you can access the Groups page by using the menu at the top left to enter that code.
Use this form to enter. We just need your Freerice name. BAN/WAX are optional if you'd like to be eligible for rewards.
Once you're in the Freerice group, you're all set! There will be a spreadsheet with stats updated fairly regularly once the event begins.
What is Freerice?
If you haven't heard of Freerice, it's a site that was created in 2007 by John Breen as a tool to help his son study for the SATs, which he later donated directly to the UN. The concept is simple and addicting. There are multiple choice questions (by default, vocabulary.) If you answer correctly, 10 grains of rice are donated to the World Food Programme (run by the UN) via ad revenue and sponsors.
In case you missed it, they also added some new categories around the time that our last event finished. Animals (above) is my new favorite category. If you really want a challenge, you can solve derivatives...
Freerice Tips
There are now a few dozen categories besides the default vocabulary, which tends to get boring after a while. Try some of the science categories. If you're looking for something super fast, try Multiplication Table!
You can get to the next question faster if you click or tap as soon as your answer turns green. It will cut down a lot on the transition time.
Freerice works great on all devices. The mobile version of the site works just as well as the full site for most.

Event runs from 00:00 February 11th to 23:59 February 14th. All times are EST unless otherwise stated.

4. Una volta che sei nel gruppo Freerice, sei pronto! Ci sarà un foglio di calcolo con le statistiche aggiornate abbastanza regolarmente una volta iniziato l'evento.
Cos'è Freerice?

Consigli di Freerice
Ora ci sono alcune dozzine di categorie oltre al vocabolario predefinito, che tende a diventare noioso dopo un po'. Prova alcune delle categorie di scienza. Se stai cercando qualcosa di super veloce, prova le tabelline! Puoi passare alla domanda successiva più velocemente se fai clic o tocchi non appena la risposta diventa verde. Ridurrà molto il tempo di transizione. Freerice funziona alla grande su tutti i dispositivi. La versione mobile del sito funziona altrettanto bene del sito che è completo.

1. L'evento va dalle 00:00 dell'11 febbraio alle 23:59 del 14 febbraio. Tutti gli orari sono EST se non diversamente indicato.
